I am a regular "Joe" may be not a plumber but a regular average next door guy who is concerned with USA economy. Currently underemployed and with a $ 250 000 in student loans and with a bankruptcy filed not long time ago my passion for the state of the economy arouse ... This japanese economist (Noriko Hama) mentions that every country wants to be an exporter...this happened on 1930's era and it elicited protectionism which brought currencies down ... he sees a correlation with then and now: everyone wants to be an exporter and in order to do so currency have to devalue ....
