  1. Known as TIAR in latin america...this treaty states that the countries will help each other if anyone of its members is attacked...Ratify on december 3rd of 1948. It was considered a failure when in 1982 USA backed UK in its Falkland occupation, invasion, attack or whatever you want to call it or see it...Then in 2001 USA wanted help from Latin America and used the treaty which Latin America Countries saw as convenient considering that USA as member didnt help Argentina with the Falkland situation...Then we wonder why some Latin American countries hate USA policies ...
