I am a regular "Joe" may be not a plumber but a regular average next door guy who is concerned with USA economy. Currently underemployed and with a $ 250 000 in student loans and with a bankruptcy filed not long time ago my passion for the state of the economy arouse ... My purpose is to gather information from different journals and or blogs and help those fellows americans interested in the economy have a broader perception of what really is happening.
If you have read the new york times and other newspapers you will have noticed that they are praising the back to its feet economy...americans are spending again...yet when you read this article you realize something: stores declared bankruptcies, shutdown non-performing stores which has the effect of transferring those sales to the other one that is performing (then you obviously have an increased on sales) and third the taxes paid to the government on sales are low ...he gives as an example texas where its sales tax revenues have been shrinking then he wonders is it happening in the rest of the states?
